Who We are !
The Name
Les Ateliers Bonzai is inspired by the Japanese art of the cultivating and shaping small trees.
This inspiration was waken to shape wood into different forms that is both beautiful and useful.
The Wood Shop
We are a small shop of a one man craftsman.
Both power and hand tools are used in the process of crafting. Our prime material of work is wood and we privilege local species to North America. We do, in some occasion, use some species that are not local, mainly as accent.
We are located in the region of Montréal, Québec.

My name is Bruno Quesnel. I am an amateur woodworker, eager to learn with each project.
I believe in the concept to use the best tool to tackle the job with the most efficiency. There are many ways to accomplish the same task through different methods and it does not mean that what I use is the best, but it works for me.
